Extremely practical
This jacket is perfect for spring and autumn runs. The front and outer arms of the jacket are wind proof and water resistant while the sides, underarms and back are extremely breathable. When the weather is chilly and breezy but too warm for a full waterproof jacket this Asics jacket is just right. I've used it for four runs in the Pennines and North York moors and felt protected from the elements without overheating. The side mesh pockets are a bonus - ideal for gels, snack, gloves etc. and overcome the need for a waist pouch. Similarly the sleeve pocket is good for keys, iPod or phone. Highly recommended. One word of warning, in my experience, Asics gear comes up small. I normally buy a small size for Ronhill or Nike gear but needed a medium in this jacket.

Have been using it for quite a few months now, during fall and winter. I deliberately waited so much before reviewing it as it's suppposed 2 be a technical item and wanted to test it under the exact conditions I bought it 4.
So guys, if u hit the trail more than 4 hours / week despite the weather conditions then u should def buy that top, it's really a MUST HAVE HI-TECH item. Where do I begin?
- Very true 2 size if u r a fit runner, I normally wear M and fitted like a glove.
- Feels SMOOTH ("clean shaven" really describes the texture's feeling), no chaffing under any circumastances whatsoever, very important for longruns and races.
- Superior windbreaker at the front and back while both sides (starting from the wrist and all the way down to the waist) are a huge air mesh panel removing sweat and excess body heat away. The definition of BREATHABLE!
- Your neck is completely protected while the 1/2 zip makes the top vesratile on warmer conditions.
